Coastal areas are already copping big swells
Wave heights so far have peaked around 15m off the Gold Coast at the Tweed offshore site and 11.5m at the Brisbane site off North Stradbroke Island.
A line graph shows the significant wave height and maximum wave height at two sites, Brisbane and Tweed offshore, from March 3-6. It shows the maximum wave height peaking above 15m for Tweed on March 5 and around 11.5m for Brisbane on March 6.
