Median age and sex ratio

The number of males there are per 100 females in each capital city, looking at the average age of residents.

Darwin had the youngest median age of all capital cities at 34.5 years, followed by Canberra at 35.4. Adelaide was the oldest capital city with a median age of 39.3 years, ahead of Hobart at 38.6. Hobart had the lowest sex ratio of all capital cities (95.8 males per 100 females), while Darwin had the highest (106.8).
