Since the turn of the century, has Class 8 truck price inflation outpaced the general inflation rate?

Overdrive asked its readership this question and posed a variety of possible percentages for "Yes" answers (blue bars on the graph) -- readers indicated by just how much they felt truck pricing had outpaced broader price inflation in the U.S. economy. Results reveal the perception of truck price inflation since the 2000 model year generally doesn't match the reality. Though "Yes" is certainly the right answer, Overdrive research puts the "by how much" answer between just 3% and 6%.
