Homicides per 100,000 residents in Sacramento County

Sacramento County's homicide rate peaked in 1993 at 13.1 homicide deaths per 100,000 residents. The rate fell in 2022, as homicides declined in the cities of Sacramento and Elk Grove, but inched higher in Citrus Heights and in unincorporated areas of the county.
