Percentage of FTIC Students Earning Grades of A or B in Selected General Education Disciplines: Students with and Students without Prior Dual Enrollment Experience in Identified Disciplines, 2024-25
This grouped bar chart compares success rates (A or B grades) in selected general education disciplines for first-time-in-college students with and without prior dual enrollment (DE) credits for 2024-25. Students with prior DE credits consistently outperform their peers across all disciplines. The largest advantage appears in Psychology courses, where DE students achieve 96% success compared to 71% for non-DE students—a 25 percentage point gap. Similarly substantial gaps exist in SYG courses (23 points), MAC/MGF/STA courses (20 points), and BSC/MCB courses (16 points). The smallest disparities occur in AMH/WOH courses (6 points) and AML/ENC/ENL/HUM courses (15 points), though DE students still maintain an advantage in every discipline examined.
