Progress toward Veterans Blvd. opening

A stretch of eastbound Herndon Avenue was closed starting Aug. 7, 2023, diverting traffic to the northern end of the Veterans Boulevard project in northwest Fresno.

The old portion of eastbound Herndon Avenue between Hayes and Polk avenues will be demolished. The Veterans Boulevard interchange at Highway 99 is expected to be open by November 2023.
