The graph shows all OECD countries with a population greater than 15 million where housing allowances data were available. The United Kingdom has the highest spending across all OECD countries with available data; Finland (population of 5.6 million) was second, spending 0.88% of its GDP. Housing allowances are means-tested income transfers to households directed at supporting their housing costs. The data are from 2022, or the latest available year.
