High school scholarship recipients top peers in reading

A higher percentage of 11th-grade scholarship recipients were proficient in reading on the 2023 SAT than the average for low-income Illinois public school students and all Illinois public students. Scholarship recipients had higher math proficiency on the SAT than low-income public school 11th-grade students.

Note: The Illinois State Board of Education defines "low-income" differently than the Invest in Kids Tax-Credit Scholarship defines "low-income" for a student to receive a scholarship.
