Number of abortions performed in the US has risen since 2022

Despite restrictions on abortion after the 2022 Supreme Court decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the number of abortions performed in the US has risen. Indiana is among states with restrictive abortion laws, and has seen a decline in the number of abortions performed in-state. States with abortion protections, such as Illinois, have seen a spike in abortions since 2022.
