Parks in Montgomery, Alabama, that serve mainly Black residents are in worse condition overall than parks serving mainly white residents

A recent study graded parks on factors including the presence of trash and dog waste; noise from highways and industrial areas; and evidence of vandalism, alcohol and drug use. These conditions were more prevalent in parks serving predominantly Black neighborhoods than in those serving white neighborhoods.
