Women could add more to the economy, but only without gender pay gap

Note: Figures represent the earnings that would be received by boosting employment rates by 10 p.p. independently in each scenario. The increase is assumed to be split across educational attainment groups in proportion to the educational distribution of the not employed population within each sex. Earnings of these new workers are assumed to be the median earnings of the group by education and sex in the "gender pay gap" scenario, and they are assumed to be the median earnings of the group only by education in the "equal wages" scenario.
