Data from 1975 until 1990 comes IIHS. Data from 1990 until 2006 from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Data from 2007 until 2022 comes from NHTSA's Fatality and Injury Reporting System Tool (FIRST). In 2022, people riding motorized bicycles were added to pedalcyclists in NHTSA data. Historically people riding motorized bicycles experience less than 50 deaths per year.
