Annual HMS-HSDM Emissions by Source (MTCO2e)

Emissions included here are "Scope 1" and "Scope 2" emissions. Scope 1 emissions are direct emissions that come from sources that an organization owns or controls (such as a natural gas boiler for heating), while scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions that come from the energy an organization purchases and uses (like electricity).

MTCO2e: metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. Equivalent carbon dioxide is a metric that accounts for various greenhouse gases’ respective capacities to heat the Earth's atmosphere. *Note: CY2022 greenhouse gas emissions factors are based on preliminary data and may undergo revisions as finalized figures become available.
