The rise of the annual timber target

The Forest Service is increasing its target to 4 billion board feet in fiscal year 2026.

Board feet sold each fiscal year, in billions, by the Forest Service. Data from 2019 to 2025 is from the Forest Service's Budget Justification reports. 2026 data is from email communications within the Forest Service.
