Cement exports may have been keeping industry volumes from falling too far below the past 10-year average, but March has set dispatches off track. In 9MFY25, even though, total dispatches have dropped only 1 percent year on year, they are 22 percent lower than the industry highest reached in FY21. Exports are making up for the shortfall in domestic demand but they are still contributing less than 20% to the sales mix. Domestic sales in March are lowest in a decade.
