A U.S. passport has never been less powerful than in 2020. Many nations banned travel from the United States last year, because of the widespread outbreak there. Travel from the U.S. was specifically barred in 46 countries. For 144 countries, the U.S. was included in a wider travel ban restricting all arrivals.
