Cases of Foster Care 'Placement for Treatment' in 2024

Of Minnesota's 4,166 new entries into foster care last year, 489 were identified as "placement for treatment." While the total number of foster care entries has dropped by nearly half in the past decade, the percentage of those children who were placed for treatment has remained steady at roughly 11%.
