Share of Business Rates from Renewables Retained in Local Area

Local Authorities in England retain 100% of the business rates from onshore renewable. This is equivalent to between 2 and 3 times the value of Community Benefit Funding. In Scotland and Wales, the host local authority is only awarded a fraction of these business rates.
