SBIR and STTR funding to Pittsburgh-based companies has grown under every presidential administration, with the most significant increases occurring during the presidencies of George W. Bush and Joe Biden, showing a rise of approximately 170% and 42%, respectively.
SBIR and STTR funding to Pittsburgh companies has steadily increased from $7.2 million under the Ronald Reagan administration to $133.8 million under the Joe Biden administration.
