Outcomes for people served by Portland police's Behavioral Health Unit

Officer-clinician teams serve about 500 people a year who struggle with mental illness or addiction and show signs of escalating behaviors, are repeatedly interacting with police or seem likely to pose a safety risk to others. Outcomes are for cases from 2014 through 2024.
