Differences in Connecticut's Population by Age and Sex in the Blended Base vs. the Decennial Census Count

Blended base estimates are higher for males ages 35 to 64, whereas they are mostly slightly lower than or the same as the census counts for females in this age range. The much lower blended base estimate for individuals ages 30-34 is primarily driven by a lower estimate for women in this age range (4.9% lower than the census count), while the estimate for men in this age range was 1% lower than the census count.
