The share of population at or near poverty has decreased in most — but not all — regions

"Near poverty" is defined as being below 125% of the poverty line. The share of the population at or near poverty increased between one and five percentage points in the Mountaintop, Upper Bald Eagle Valley and Nittany Valley regions while decreasing elsewhere.
