Two lines showing how "crimes against the person" have risen 8% on last year following a gradual increase. while property and deception incidents have increased 16% on the last year after a significant surge since the COVID pandemic.
"Crimes against the person" include homicide, assault, sexual offences, abduction, blackmail and extortion, stalking and dangerous and negligent acts endangering people. Data recorded up to September 2025.
