Test scores increased for most groups after Florida cellphone ban

Test scores were measured in nationally normed student percentiles, comparing scores on exams immediately before the ban to those taken two years later. That means the average student's scores jumped ahead of about 1.1 percent of peer students in the wake of the ban, for example by moving from the 49th percentile to the 50th.
