Most Alabama counties have administered at least one coronavirus vaccine dose to roughly 21 percent of their adult populations - but a few counties stand out. Russell County has only administered vaccines to 9.8 percent of its population 18 or older. Chilton County is only at 13 percent. Some others have vaccinated more than the state average. Wilcox County, in the Black Belt and one of the smallest counties in Alabama, has given at least one dose to 29.1 percent of its population, the highest percent in the state.
