Prevalence of dementia among Canadian older adults

About two-thirds of Canadian seniors living with dementia are female. The prevalence and the incidence increase with age, as does the differential in prevalence and incidence estimates between male and female.

Data is based upon Canadian Chronic Disease Surveillance System data files from provinces and territories as of April 2017. Data do not include for Saskatchewan.
