January 2025 freeze alerts high with one week remaining in month

Alachua County has received 18 freeze alerts from Jan. 1 to Jan. 23, 2025. Compared to past Januaries, that's the most the county has received since 2010 — and that's with eight days left in the month.

Includes watches, warnings and advisories issued by the National Weather Service within a one-mile buffer zone of Alachua County. From Jan. 1, 2005 to Jan. 23, 2025.

Freeze warnings mean temps below 32°F within the next 24 hours. Hard freeze warnings mean the temperature is expected to be below 28°F for at least three hours.
