The Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) project constructs aggregate indicators of six broad dimensions of governance. This table shows the scores of the Lower Mekong Countries on Voice and Accountability from 1996-2020. Voice and accountability captures perceptions of the extent to which a country's citizens are able to participate in selecting their government, as well as freedom of expression, freedom of association, and a free media. A deeper green indicates a higher percentile score in voice and accountability, and corresponds with better governance according to this indicator.
