Average weekly hospital occupancy post COVID-19

On average, nearly three out of four hospital beds were occupied across the US in the year following the pandemic (May 2023 through April 2024). Occupancy was highest in Rhode Island at 88 percent. Massachusetts was second highest at 86 percent.
