The percentages in the chart below show the percentage of COVID-19 patients in hospitals, based on Trauma Service Area (TSA), for any given day.
North Texas counties are in seven TSAs
TSA-C: Jack, Young
TSA-D: Comanche
TSA-E: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Hood, Hunt, Kaufman, Johnson, Navarro, Parker, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Wise
TSA-F: Delta, Hopkins, Lamar, Red River
TSA-G: Anderson, Freestone, Henderson, Rains, Van Zandt
TSA-L: Hamilton
TSA-M: Bosque, Hill
Under previous orders from Gov. Greg Abbott, when the number of COVID-19 patients was 15% or higher for seven consecutive days the counties in that TSA were to enforce tougher mitigation efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, including business restrictions, halting elective surgeries, etc. Those efforts were to remain in place until the percentage of patients dropped below 15% for seven consecutive days.
The most recent order from Abbott removed automatic mitigation efforts regardless of the percentage of people hospitalized with COVID-19. The data below is shared for information purposes only.
