Same-Day Voter Registration in 2016 and 2020
The graphic displays same-day voter registration in both 2016 and 2020. In both years, the issued same-day voter registration was equivalent to the counted same-day voter registration. Data were obtained through the Connecticut Secretary of the State Election Center website.
The SDR statistics in 2016 were higher than in 2020 because COVID-19 caused minimal in-person contact. However, this proves that SDR is still heavily used in the state of Connecticut during Election Day.
