Main sources of US support for Israeli nonprofits

Donations from abroad accounted for $2.9 billion of the $35.3 billion in total income Israeli nonprofits received in 2015. A team of researchers were able to study $1.8 billion of these donations. They found that most of this money came from either 'friends of' groups or large centralized organizations, such as the Jewish federations that operate in nearly 150 U.S. metropolitan areas.
