Despite beef imports, beef prices remain at record highs

Much of the beef the U.S. imports is used to make ground beef. This chart shows the average price per pound for regular 100% ground beef in U.S. dollars. WIth the U.S. cattle herd at historic lows, imports have not been enough to stop prices from rising.
