Homeschooling in Virginia rebounds, steadily trending up post-pandemic

After a spike during the 2020-21 school year and a post-pandemic dip, more Virginia families are once again choosing to educate their children at home across all grade bands, including K-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

VDOE data was not available for at least two Central Virginia counties (including Louisa and Essex) for some school years.
