Aldi, Target, Trader Joe's offer least expensive basic items

Using a grocery list compiled with guidance from the USDA, Aldi had the lowest prices for basic proteins, vegetables and grains. Trader Joe's had the lowest price under a list adjusted for appliance rules and regulations in UMN dorms.
