The Return-to-Office Gender Gap

Of U.S. workers whose employers previously shifted them to working remotely during the pandemic, male workers were more likely to report positive workplace outcomes since returning to the office than female workers. Additionally, 84 percent of male workers described their return as positive, compared to only 62 percent of female workers.

Note: The survey data refers to workers who stayed at the same organization since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and were transitioned to remote work at some point during the pandemic.
