NOTE: MPR News and APM Reports compiled a list of group homes in Brooklyn Park licensed by the Department of Human Services as community residential settings or by the Department of Health as assisted living facilities with five or fewer residents. Reporters then totaled up payments from the Department of Human Services to those providers using data from Minnesota Management and Budget’s Open Checkbook website. Spending for the full fiscal year is included if a provider held an active license in Brooklyn Park during that calendar year. Open Checkbook doesn’t track spending by facility so the dollar figure represents the total paid to a provider, potentially including payments for group homes in multiple cities or for other services funded by the Department of Human Services.
