Lobbying the EU

Declared lobbying spending for entities in the Transparency Register in the last financial year or latest year available, in euros. Since September 2021, if an entity self-declares it is a non-commercial organization — which is the case for most NGOs and think tanks — they are not obliged to declare lobbying spending.

Data extracted and analyzed on April 25, 2025. Only select categories included in the chart. If a spending bracket was provided, the lower end of the bracket was used to calculate total spending. LobbyFacts records organizations that declared spending less than €10,000 in a given financial year as having spent €10,000. As most NGOs and think tanks do not report spending, the figures in the chart are likely underestimates.
