The percents of households reporting food insecurity based on US classification approach represent the official statistics released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The percents of Americans living in food-insecure households based on Canada's classification approach were estimated using publicly available data files of the 2018-2024 Current Population Survey Food Security Supplement (CPS-FSS).
