Twenty counties across Idaho applied for and received grants from the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a nonprofit organization that received $350 million from Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. The grants were used for election administration efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic — primarily hazard pay for pollworkers, personal protective equipment, nonpartisan voter education efforts and other election administration equipment.
