How many people are hospitalized each day for COVID-19?

A chart of daily COVID-19 hospitalizations in the U.S. shows the initial spike in cases, primarily in the Northeast and West Coast, and a second rise, led by southern states, as businesses reopened after the shutdown. In some hard-hit cities, hospitals were filled to capacity.
