Ford's F-Series pickup truck sales have accelerated, but were still down in the first eight months of the year compared to last year. While the F-150 remains the bestselling vehicle in the U.S., GM's Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra (which are mechanically identical) have surpassed Ford's F-Series so far this year.
