The states with the highest number of new cases per 100K population during the week of June 13-20) are seen at right of the chart -- Arizona had the highest per-capita number, followed by South Carolina, Alabama, and Arkansas. Note that all eleven states with more than 62 new cases per 100K voted Republican in the 2016 presidential election. States with the fastest-growing increases (week-over-week) are seen at the top of the chart, and included Florida, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Idaho, West Virginia, Michigan, Texas, and Arizona.
