Types of Mandated Holocaust Education by State

Thirty-two states now have passed legislation concerning the teaching of the Holocaust in the state's schools. Nine make it mandatory, specifically, and exclusively about the Holocaust of the Jews. Others have only formed a commission. Missouri has done both.

Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas make it mandatory, and specifically and exclusively about the Nazi genocide of the Jews.
