Researchers asked a demographically representative online sample of 1,000 Americans to read articles about science publications. Half of the people read just a description of the journal or magazine. The other half additionally read information about its public advocacy for Joe Biden or against Donald Trump for president in 2020. Those who read about a publication's political stance reported less trust in science than those who didn't. The difference on a scale of 1 to 9 was small but statistically significant.
