Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance Premiums Have More Than Tripled Since 2005

Average annual premiums for employer-sponsored health insurance increased substantially between 2005 and 2025. Family coverage premiums rose from $8,167 to $26,993, while single coverage premiums increased from $2,713 to $9,325.

Family coverage premiums increased by approximately 230.5% between 2005 and 2025, while single coverage premiums rose by approximately 243.7% over the same period.
