This week had 276 active price cuts, up from 175 in the prior week, marking a more active week of repricing as the slower vacation season is in full swing. The median asking price after cuts was about $930K, the median cut was roughly $60K, and the median percentage reduction was 6.0%. The heaviest neighborhood concentrations were Midtown West, Midtown East, and Chelsea.

Condos accounted for about 49% of the week’s cuts. Most cuts were concentrated in attainable-to-mid-market price bands, with 109 reductions between $500K and $1 million. By unit type, one-bedrooms saw the most cuts with 115 reductions. However, the deepest dollar discounts remained at the high end, led by several reductions at The Plaza, including a $5.0M cut on a massive 8,386-square-foot residence.
