Survey of 5,835 U.S. adults conducted April 29 to May 6, 2024

The percentage amongst all Americans dropped from 48 percent in 2022 to 38 percent in 2024. All races -- Asian, Black, Hispanic and White -- also saw decreases, with Asian people seeing the biggest decrease from 2022 to 2024. Democrats saw a large decrease from 75 percent in 2022 to 53% in 2024. Republicans were the only group that saw an increase from 18 to 22 percent.
