Older kids waited longer for adoption in Minnesota in 2017

The average time from becoming a state ward to adoption increased in all age groups from 2016 to 2017 in Minnesota. In 2017, the average waiting time for adoptees between ages 15 to 18 was 805 days — more than twice as long as the youngest group, birth through age 3.
