Participation in reading by sex

Interwar females read the most, at 48%, while Generation Z males read the least at 10.1%. Nearly one in four Generation X females participated (23%) compared to around one in eight Generation X males (12%).
*The ABS included the reading of newspapers, books, magazines and e-books and data included Australians aged 15 and over, excluding part of Gen-Z.
